Shirley A. Roggen has been involved in the interior design business in Portland, Oregon and Houston, Texas for over 25 years.
Shirley’s expertise comes from her years of experience while working directly for architectural, engineering and construction firms. She has a comprehensive knowledge of both design and construction. The experience she gained early in her career has been invaluable in her own design firm.
Shirley’s design focus includes historic interiors and restoration as well as remodeling, interior updating and design problem solving. Her work runs from historically inspired interiors to contemporary, and covers a full range of residential and commercial projects. She researches her clients’ needs and offers them a chance to become personally involved in the decision-making process. She provides the opportunity to learn more about the entire design process in a pleasurable setting that leads directly to good results.
Her design education includes a B.A. in Interior Design from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, studies at Portland Community College, and graduate level work at The University of Iowa and Portland State University. She regularly attends design-related seminars through professional organizations as part of her continuing education commitment. She has given numerous seminars and classes in interior design and has taught at Houston Community College.
Shirley is involved in professional design organizations and volunteers her time to several charitable groups. She embraces a philosophy of community involvement, leadership, and charity.
